It was incorporated in to India in 1937, and is now ruled by a military junta. There are no banks, ATMs or use of credit cards or most foreign currencies. The educational system is poor, healthcare is poor and the gross domestic output is mostly argricultural (rice, Teak, curry and opium). There is much interest in tourism as a means of financial support. Ken was kind enough to share some of the local arts and crafts in addition to many other interesting photos of this country.
